2012 BIGGEST YEAR YET FOR GREEN SPA NETWORK
First Ever GSN Buyers Event; Sun River Resort in Oregon Announced as Location for October Congress; New One-to-One LNE Program; New Website Launch
San Francisco, CA (February 15, 2012) – This is shaping up to be a banner year for the Green Spa Network. The non-profit network of like-minded professionals is on the move with a number of exciting projects:
• GSN will hold its First Annual Buyers Conference, April 29 to May 2, 2012 at the Inn and Spa at Loreto, Santa Fe, NM. This unique, invitation-only event will offer spas the opportunity to make a wide range of eco friendly and sustainable choices from a variety of spa and sustainability resource partners without compromising smart business. Buyer attendees will enjoy 20 one-on-one meetings, networking and presentations by industry experts including Bob Zimmer, founder and former CEO of Rosewood Resorts.
• The location for the 2012 GSN Congress has just been announced - Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon from September 30 to October 3, 2012. A DH&R resort, Sunriver has recently won the portfolio's Destination Earth award for their sustainability practices. www.sunriver-resort.com The congress is GSN”s annual event bringing together leaders from the worlds of design, tourism, beauty, marketing and health to further advance the causes of healing, wellness and vitality.
• GSN will continue to participate in The International Congress of Esthetics (LNE) events -- including March 4 & 5 in Miami; May 6 & 7 in Dallas; Sept. 9 & 10 in Long Beach, CA and Oct. 28 & 29 in Philadelphia, PA: -- but this year it will launch the new One to One Program. This means that adjacent to the current GSN Village - where GSN Sponsors deliver services to invited VIPs - there will be a 4-booth section dedicated to one-to-one discussions on the very things GSN’s members are most knowledgeable about: Spa Operations, Spa Products, Social Media, Marketing, and Retail Operations.
• 2012 will be the launch year of an all new, sophisticated GSN Website designed by Free Range Studios, known best for creating the “Story of Stuff” video and design work for a wide range of sustainable companies and non profits like the NRDC, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Save the Bay. A few of the special features of GSN’s dynamic new Website with an all new color palette and logo include:

• Inspiring stories and practical tips on spa sustainability
• Sustainability profiles of leading green spas and resource partners
• A plethora of networking opportunities
