2011 SEASON OF HGTV’S OUTDOOR ROOM WITH JAMIE DURIE FEATURES

Vista, CA – (March 2, 2011) Dimension One Spas – an award-winning U.S. based manufacturer of hot tubs and swim spas known for its standard-setting innovation – will have three different spa models featured in three different episodes of this season’s OUTDOOR ROOM WITH JAMIE DURIE on the HGTV network, which began March 6, 2011. The first D1 Spa will be featured in “The Hamptons” episode of the HGTV show, airing on March 13, 2011.

Award-winning international landscape designer and horticulturist Jamie Durie, selects international destinations from which he gathers design inspirations that he uses to create awe-inspiring backyard makeovers for American families lucky enough to be featured on the show. Joined by a team of horticulturalists, builders and contractors, Jamie's designs are inspired by his extensive travels and each show is built around a destination theme.
Durie’s design philosophy underscores the importance of incorporating water elements in backyard designs. His team says that this often takes the form of incorporating a home spa seamlessly into the outdoor room vignettes he creates and this season it was D1 that provided the hot tubs for the show.
Airing first on March 13 and then repeating on March 18, the second episode of the 2011 season of THE OUTDOOR ROOM called “The Hamptons” – inspired by a trip Jamie made to this seaside vacation town on the Northeastern seaboard of the U.S. -- will very appropriately feature D1’s marine themed hot tub, the Nautilus.
• Nearly 8-feet wide with seating for up to 7 adults, Nautilus features D1’s patented adjustable head rests, “His and Her” High-Performance Seats, a SportsZone Seat® and 42 stress-melting jets. This lovely home spa is as energy efficient as it is relaxing, costing only about $12.00 per month to heat. The Nautilus retails for $13,195.00.
Airing midseason, the second episode to feature a D1 spa will have a very contemporary feel, which is ideal for the hot tub the producers chose – sleek, new Elemental.
• Inspired by the four elements of fire water, air, and earth, this new kind of backyard water feature goes far beyond the typical round hot tub design. Elemental is made from materials and textures that complement patio furniture and its compact size, softly square shape, and portable, plug & play design allows for easy integration into outdoor conversation spaces. Retailing at $5,995 with heating costs averaging $7.00 a month. www.myelemental.com
At the end of the season, D1’s sexiest luxury home spa, the Amore Bay, will be a key element of the backyard design unveiled by Jamie Durie and his OUTDOOR ROOM.
• This warm water Shangri-La features smooth edges, a special 8 ft. “playground” bench area, his & her underwater massage loungers with acupressure massage jets, mood lighting, fountains and a built-in wireless stereo system that welcomes IPOD downloads. Retailing at just over $20,000, this signature, curvilinear tub is a top-of-the line model also designed to be energy efficient and earth friendly, with heating costs averaging $15.00 a month; exteriors made of recycled plastic milk jugs and water cleaned with UV Light and Ozone.

“First of all we were impressed with the quality of the D1 product and the selection of models available,” explains Jamie Durie. “But what really convinced us were the energy efficient design and the eco friendly materials used in each hot tub. And it was really good to find out that this is a family-owned, thirty-year-old company with a lot of passion and innovation behind everything they create for the homeowner.”
